About Me

About Me

My name is Paul Shilliam and I would describe myself as a "Non Professional" photographer, that is to say I do not earn a living from taking photographs. That does not mean I cannot take a quality photograph !

The benefit for me is that I have complete photographic license, every photograph I take is of my own choosing for my own reasons and on any subject that takes my fancy.

I am very fortunate nobody else calls the shots apart from myself.

I live in the UK in a small hamlet near Heathfield in East Sussex, my home is a period cottage set in the heart of the English countryside.

When I am travelling I normally take with me two bodies, a Canon 5R and a Canon 5DS.

  1. Canon 70-200mm f2.8L IS 11
  2. Canon 24-70mm f2.8L 11
  3. EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Extender 1.4x
  4. Canon Extender EF 2x II
  5. Sigma 300mm f2.8

My first love is wildlife photography, I also enjoy travel photography and in both subjects I have been quite successful.

My Photographs

I do not usually sell my photographs but if there is a good reason or good purpose that one of my photographs is wanted, I would give it consideration. Just contact me.

Royal Photographic Society

I have been successful in obtaining the first two distinctions for photography with the RPS, the second an 'ARPS' was in the genre of Travel Photography. I believe these qualifications are a good indicator of the standard a photographer has reached.
